Gnome by Groupon

Gnome—Groupon's entry in consumer point of sale hardware—was the consumer facing version of their  merchant terminal called Breadcrumb.

For Groupon's Design Director, David Gomez-Rosado, we came up with a way to highlight a unique feature of their new device's design—when flipping the screen, the UI changed from merchant facing to consumer facing. The website featured horizontal sliding navigation, 3D interactive animations which literally followed your cursor and subtle watercolor animations. All this interactivity and motion graphics (accomplished without using video) were programmed by the clever Dipenra Rai and illustrated by the talented folks from Croke Studio.
